How much does a New York promoter bond cost?

Boxing and/or mixed martial art promoters are required to post a surety bond prior to holding an event. This specific bond type has a varying amount.

Bond amounts are issued by the State Athletic Commission. You will be mandated to post a bond in the amount of $10,000 or $20,000. Be sure to contact the Athletic Commission for your given bond amount.

Why do I need this bond?

Through posting this bond, the principal agrees to conduct business in full compliance with the Act entitled “Allowing and regulating boxing, sparring and wrestling matches, and establishing a State Athletic Commission” (Chapter 714 of the Laws of 1921). This includes faithfully performing all provisions of this act and all rules mandated by the State Athletic Commission.
